Just kidding!
I would like to seriously congratulate you two on making the end. Despite having each other, you guys did play a good game and made it there in your own right. I really only have two questions, since Jeffy already stole my big one! (Just kidding, it's like the super obvious question of why in hell you gave Ashley all the power in the game going into f6.)
Anyway!
I think that on the outside, Zane was dragged here by Chris. I'm not sure there's anything that could convince me otherwise. But Chris, I feel as though your game was largely enhanced by pre-existing relationships. Let's not forget the fact that Heidi was Rose! So, here's my first question:
How much of your thought process in this game was impacted by pre-existing relationships/pre-game alliances? That is, how many people's aliases did you detect, and how did you integrate these identifcations into your strategy?
~~~
My second question isn't so much of a question, but a scenario!
Let's say that for whatever fucking reason, Eddie was in the merge instead of your brother!
So the merge for Zane: Eddie/Zane/Ashley/Laura/Kel/Julia/Allie/Jeff/Tarzan
So the merge for Chris: Eddie/Chris/Ashley/Laura/Kel/Julia/Allie/Jeff/Tarzan
Using these 9 people as the merged cast, please depict to me what you believe would have happened every round, and how you would have played the game to make it to the end without your brother. We can assume for this question, that Eddie was at least active enough to not self-vote.
I think that's really all for now! I may have you guys elaborate on your answers if I am looking for something more. Either way, best of luck to each of you, and may the best Page win!
A LOT!
Any sort of relationship, pre-existing or not, impacted the game in a huge way. Not just for me, but for everyone. We all know they do. It's annoying at times but it's apart of these games. Not just your own pre-existing relationships, but relationships that you perceive others might have. Unless it's a water tight alias game, every relationship needs to be considered and you have to make your moves accordingly, and that's what I did. And let's face it, all of our aliases fucking sucked in this game. No one fooled anyone
It's hard to pinpoint exactly what parts of my game this impacted. I guess the most obvious one was the Jeff boot. Most seem to think that I booted him because of the pregame rumors between him/Julia/Ashley. This really isn't entirely the case. There were a large amount of reasons why I felt like I had to remove Jeff then. But if you were to ask me if the thought of him being closer to Ashley/Julia than he was to me weighed in, HELL YEAH IT DID! Of COURSE it weighed in. It's entirely unavoidable. Just like people knowing about me/Zane weighed in heavily on their decisions
One other somewhat major thing was you and I knowing each other. The round that I wanted to go against Jeff, it was easier since you and I knew each other. I could cut right to the chase and didn't have to build up a relationship with you to pull that off. If I hadn't known you, I would've 100% still attempted to make that same move, I would've just laid the groundwork for it much earlier by really attempting to get to know this new ALLIE character
I detected Alex, obviously, Tarzan, Ashley, and Jeff. You told me who you were. Many detected me and Zane. All of that enhanced or hurt a lot of our games, and that's really undeniable. Like, you knowing who Julia/Ashley/Jeff were gave you that ammo to attempt to push people against them for example
So the merge for Chris: Eddie/Chris/Ashley/Laura/Kel/Julia/Allie/Jeff/Tarzan
Using these 9 people as the merged cast, please depict to me what you believe would have happened every round, and how you would have played the game to make it to the end without your brother. We can assume for this question, that Eddie was at least active enough to not self-vote.
This is pretty difficult. There are so many unknown factors to really make a guess at what could've happened. BUT I'LL TRY!
First merge round I would've tried to get rid of you or Tarzan, likely Tarzan again. I THINK I would've still tried to go against Jeff the next round, but the difficult part would have been finding someone else who it equally benefited. Would it have benefited Eddie? I have no idea! Maybe I would've tried to get Kel against him? It's so hard to say
Let's say Jeff left then. I would've gone after you still. I would've attempted to patch up my relationships with the other Vireo's after the Jeff vote if they were damaged
After that, with a F6 of me/Eddie/Kel/Ashley/Julia/Laura, I would've pushed for Laura to go. It would've been in all of our best interests at that point I think, unless others at that time would've had a strong relationship with Laura, butttt who's to say!
F5 is all Vireo's. Me/Eddie/Kel/Ashley/Julia. At this point I think I'd be working with Ashley and Eddie. I trusted Eddie at the time of his boot and I trusted Ashley throughout the whole game, so that's a safe assumption. I would've attempted to go after Julia or Kel because my relationship with the two of them was never as strong as it could've been. It likely would've been Kel because he was always the wildcard on Vireo and a huge mystery to me
F4 me/Eddie/Ashley/Julia. My best F3 here would be me/Ashley/Eddie. Julia wanted me gone in the 'normal' game as we got closer to the end, and maybe she would've here as well. Hard to say without the target that Zane's presence gave me.
F3 me/Eddie/Ashley. If the final IC was endurance, Ashley likely would've won and taken me? I don't know how good Ashley and Eddie's relationship was at the time of his boot, orrrr how good it could've been in this hypothetical fantasy.
The finale ends with me winning a million dollars, proposing to Ashley at the live show, and walking off into the sunset, and it's all thanks to Zane being out pre-merge.
Going into this game I only knew who one person was and that was Chris. We went into the game together hoping to go to final 2. Other then Chris I did not know who anybody else was in the game until you(Allie) told me everyone who you know in the game. When I found all of that out it did change my game. People that were already big threats became even bigger threats towards me. When I found out that Jeff was Kiwi I was a bit nervous he knew who I was because we have had our share of arguments in the past in mafia games. I thought that if he knew it was me that he would want me out. And I dont know if he did know if it was me or not but I was told that he wanted to vote me out so that is the round we made the big blindside on him. I had just finished a game with you Allie and I know how you play. You are not always loyal and easily back stab people. You knew that me and Chris have a very close relationship and there was no doubt in my mind you would have turned on us the first chance you got. SO I only knew Chris coming into this found out who people were at merge and took out people that needed to be taken out in order for them not to be here and for me to be here. I actually did know who Alex was but he was out before it mattered.
My second question isn't so much of a question, but a scenario!
Let's say that for whatever fucking reason, Eddie was in the merge instead of your brother!
So the merge for Zane: Eddie/Zane/Ashley/Laura/Kel/Julia/Allie/Jeff/Tarzan
I think the first 3 rounds of the merge I would hae liked to take out Tarzan Allie and Laura. I would want to do that because I had no alliances with them and didn't have trust in them. If that worked out which Im sure it would have because it would have in the real game if me and Chris and didnt do anything about it then I would begin to make big moves. Jeff would be the next person to take out in F6. I would have easily convinced 3 others I think that Jeff needs to go. I think I could have gotten Kel Ashley and probably Eddie to do it hard to say what he would be like. I also think Julia would jump on board as well. Why would they not do that because if you dont take out Jeff earlier in merge then later then Jeff wins the game. SO if Jeff got voted off then I think I would have liked to see Kel go home in F5. I pick Kel because he would be the biggest physical threat in the game. So F4 would be Myself Ashey Julia and Eddie. I would have liked to then work with Ashley at that point because I think she would have worked with me still late in the game instead of voting for me. I would have liked to take out Eddie then with Ashley and Julia. At this point there is no reason to flip on me and turn the vote onto me because Chris is not in the game so I think them three would have had no problem doing that. I think with myself Julia and Ashley left in the game the final 3 challenge would have been anyone's to win. Usually it is an endurance challenge which is very easy for me to win and outlast 2 other players. Even if I did not win I think I could have convinced Ashley or Julia that they should take me with them. Lets say I did win I would probably take Julia with me to final 2 because she would be easier to beat rather then Ashley.
Thank you Allie good questions!
I cant recall I am not sure if someone told me but the conversation we had about the conversation Laura sent you to you I knew for a fact you did not trust me at all anymore and every one found out we were brothers and I put 2 and 2 together and assumed you would target me soon. The convo we had when you found out I didnt trust you really didnt build our relationship and trust back.
- "We went into the game together hoping to go to final 2." Chris said you didn't sign up together?
Chris and I knew that each other were signing up but we applied on our own and it was very easy to find out that he was my brother because we are brothers and its just obvious. Plus I think our character choice made it more obvious for each other.
